TAKE A WALK AROUND OLD MONTREAL

Tourists can explore the historic Old Montreal or gamble at the huge Casino de Montreal complex. While rambling through old town Montreal, make sure to check out the Notre Dame Cathedral which is truly stunning.

LA RONDE AMUSEMENT PARK

The city is also a great destination for family holidays, with attractions like the Montreal Biodome and La Ronde Amusement Park. La Ronde is operated by Six Flags and is open from mid-May to late October. If the weather is cold, going Ice Skating is the ideal activity for those wanting to try something new. During the Summer months, how about going on an hour long jet-boating ride for some thrill!

TAKE IN A FESTIVAL

Montreal is a cultural hub, with festivals all year round. The Festival International de Jazz de Montreal is the headline event. Every year, roughly 3,000 acts perform and around 2.5 millions people come to see these concerts in indoor and outdoor locations. In the first week of June, get the chance to sample hundreds of beers at the Montreal Beer Festival.

GO TO A SPORTING EVENT

There are annual sporting events in Montreal that draw in sports fans. With the cold weather, Winter sports are very popular in the area. Hockey events, beginning around October, bring packed stadiums and roaring fans. In the beginning of June, Formula 1 Grand Prix Du Canada is the unofficial start to the Summer.
