THE GRAND CANYON

The Grand Canyon is an amazing place and a once in a lifetime experience. Getting there from Las Vegas couldn’t be easier. There are so many tours to avail of such as helicopter tours, airplane tours and when you’re there, you can book yourself a River Rapid tour down the Colorado River, or for the less adventurous, a “float tour” that doesn’t encounter any rapids as you drift along admiring the soaring sandstone cliffs of the Grand Canyon.

THE FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE

Freemont Street is rich in history. This street has held many Las Vegas ‘firsts’ such as first hotel, first telephone, first paved street, first Nevada gaming license, and the first high-rise. The Horseshoe was the first casino to install carpeting, while the Golden Nugget was the first structure designed from the ground up to be a casino.

For many years, the western end of Fremont Street was the area most commonly portrayed whenever producers wanted to display the lights of Las Vegas. Today, Fremont Street is still famous for legendary casinos, free entertainment and old-fashioned gambling hospitality. As some visitors would say ‘its almost unreal and unlimited’ and a must-see on your Las Vegas holiday.

THE VOLCANO AT THE MIRAGE

The Volcano at the Mirage is one of Las Vegas’s most renowned icons. It is a sight to see and an experience that should be on the top of your list of things to do in Vegas. The Volcano in front of the Mirage erupts nightly every hour on the hour from dusk until 11 o’clock and it is better than ever before.

THE LAS VEGAS SIGN

When having fun on your Las Vegas holiday, make sure you leave some time to visit the famous, ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign! It has been a part of the Las Vegas Strip’s landscape since 1959! This iconic structure has become a symbol of the city itself. While the location of the sign has moved several times along different places, the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign has long been a part of the Las Vegas Strip.

THE BELLAGIO FOUNTAINS

The Bellagio’s lake throws up delightful fountain displays choreographed to music. The fountains are known to dance to everything from Pavarotti and Sinatra to Michael Jackson and even the Mission Impossible Theme song! The 1,200 water cannons, arranged in lines and circles, shoot water that dances and sways to the music, reaching as high as 240ft (73m). The best seats are in the Bellagio restaurants, but you get a good view from the sidewalks out front, and from the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas.

THE HIGH ROLLER

Built in 2014, the High Roller at the LINQ is the world’s tallest Ferris wheel at 550 foot (by contrast, the London Eye stands at 443 foot). Equipped with 28 spherical, Italian-handcrafted glass-enclosed cabins, passengers can enjoy terrific views over the Las Vegas Strip in a 30-minute trip. With each cabin holding up to 40 people, why not enjoy a perfect nighttime trip with some friends on your holidays, and a drink in hand with stunning Vegas views on show!
