Family Friendly Beaches in Florida

Florida is one of the top destinations for a great family holiday. The great weather and the number of amazing attractions make it a non stop fun fest! But after all the theme parks and adventures, it’s nice to just lie back and relax at the beach.

In Florida, there are many beaches that have something for the whole family. We’ve put together five great beaches in Florida for mum, dad and all the kids to enjoy!

CLEARWATER BEACH

One of the more popular family beaches in Florida, and only a two hour drive from Orlando, located in the Central West Coast, is Clearwater Beach. The clear shallow waters and clean sugar sand make this beach very family friendly. There is no worry about your children disturbing anyone because there are kids everywhere on this beach! Parasailing and other watersports are available for some adventure.

Let the young ones play in the playground while the teens play some beach volleyball. The fun doesn’t stop when the sand ends. There are shops and restaurants across the street and plenty of family friendly resorts to stay in. Why not visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium or let the kids ride the Captain Memo Pirate Cruise. At the end of the day, there are daily sunset celebrations at Pier 60. With so much to do on or near this beach, the kids will be kept busy while Mum and Dad can relax or even join in on the fun!

NAPLES

Naples, on the Gulf Coast, has over 10 miles of Sandy Beaches. The residential surroundings give it a low key, relaxed quality, perfect for a family looking for some downtime. Kayaking, parasailing and scuba diving are among the numerous water activities available for the whole family. The area is also great for fishing and watching the sunset. At the beach, there is plenty of parking available, picnic tables and snack bars nearby. Showers and restrooms are there so you won’t fill the car up with sand on the drive home. The express ferry from the nearby Marco Island also gives the kids a chance to spot a few dolphins on the journey.

DAYTONA BEACH

East Coast’s Daytona Beach may have a racing tradition, but still maintains a wonderful family atmosphere. Fort Walton Beach is full with families everyday looking for a fun, relaxing day in the sun. Kids can safely play on the clean, white sands or swim in the clear water.
