Walt Disney World isn’t just a Summer holiday destination. From mouth watering food, to festive parades and brand new entertainment, Autumn and Winter are magical times to visit Disney. 1. NEW ATTRACTIONS

Some amazing attractions have recently come to Walt Disney World so Autumn is the perfect time to visit, when the crowds from Summer time have been and gone! Disney’s Magic Kingdom debuted Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire while the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular lit up the sky in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Epcot was busy with the opening of Frozen Ever After, Soarin’ Around the World and Royal Summerhus! With all of these new additions, there is plenty of new things to enjoy whether you’re a Disney first timer or a seasoned visitor.

2. NEW DINING AND SHOPPING OPPORTUNITIES

Walt Disney World is a foodie paradise and this Autumn sees the opening of PizzaRizzo, the Muppets themed restaurant in Hollywood Studios! Not only that, but Disney Springs is jam packed full of new eateries and retailers. From the new Frontera Cocina and Homecoming restaurants to Lacoste, Free People and Sugarboo & Co. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Magic Kingdom for trick or treating, Disney characters in spooky costume, special Halloween themed parades, shows, fireworks and more! This is the perfect event for all ages.

6. EVEN MORE HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS!

If you’re looking for Halloween celebrations for grown ups only, make your way down to Club Villain at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this October. Dance the night away every Friday and Saturday with extra villainous special guests, food, drink and spectacular performances!

7. MICKEY’S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY

Once Halloween is over, it’s time to think about chestnuts on an open fire, mistletoe and all things Christmas! There is so much going on in Walt Disney World around Christmas time you’ll be full of Christmas cheer from Thanksgiving to New Years! One of the most popular events is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This Magic Kingdom event runs from November and will have holiday themed fireworks, shows and parades!

8. HOLIDAYS AROUND THE WORLD & THE CANDLELIGHT PROCESSIONAL

The Christmas magic doesn’t end in Magic Kingdom. Epcot has a seasonal celebration for the whole family! Holidays Around the World & The Candlelight Processional brings Christmas cheer to each pavilion in the World Showcase. Enjoy festive music in the America Gardens Theatre and learn different holiday customs from around the world.

9. GET THE CHANCE TO MEET PRINCESS ELENA OF AVALOR

Disney Channel’s favourite princess has found a new home in Magic Kingdom. Starting this month, Princess Elena of Avalor, will join the rest of the Disney Princesses to share stories and songs from her Latin inspired culture. Elena will be in Magic Kingdom for a limited time only so this Autumn and Winter is the best time to see her!

10 . MAGIC KINGDOM TURNS 45 THIS OCTOBER

On October 1st, Magic Kingdom will be celebrating its 45th birthday! Be in the park that started it all for birthday celebrations! There will be plenty of retro merchandise that celebrates the history of Magic Kingdom since its opening in 1971. Choose from trading pins, pajamas, mugs, bags and much more to bring home.
