Business Plus held its distinguished Lunch of Legends event, celebrating prominent figures from various sectors. Among the honorees was CEO Mary McKenna of Tour America, The Travel Suite, and Cruise Holidays. The ceremony, hosted at Lansdowne Rugby Football Club on May 9, 2024, also celebrated Pat Spillane, Catherina McKiernan, and Barry Napier, each recognized for their significant contributions to their respective fields. Mary McKenna, founder and CEO of Tour America, has shown exceptional resilience and innovation in the travel industry. Despite challenges like the 9/11 aftermath and the recent pandemic, her company has thrived, expanding into cruise holidays and recovering strongly post-COVID. Her leadership earned her a nomination for the 2018 EY Entrepreneur of the Year, and her company has been recognized as one of Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies for thirteen consecutive years.
