Great news, the new train line connecting Dulles International Airport to downtown Washington D.C. has FINALLY opened!
This was meant to happen pre covid and as a United Airlines partner we are particularly happy about this for our customers.
A well deserved city break to Washington just got a lot more appealing becasue now there is a quick and easy option to get from the airport to your hotel in Washington Metro!
Named the Silver line, the train will The Silver Line will initially run every 15 minutes, with plans of eventually operating every 10 minutes
during rush hour, every 12 minutes during midday, evening and weekends, and every 15 minutes after 9:30 p.m.
The maximum that Metro charges is $6 on weekdays. Fares drop to a flat $2 after 9:30 p.m.
The ride from Metro Center in downtown Washington to Dulles will take approx. 53 minutes.
∙ Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. until midnight.
∙ Friday from 5 a.m. until 1 a.m.
∙ Saturday from 7 a.m. until 1 a.m.
∙ Sunday from 7 a.m. until midnight
